My Blog is taking a slightly different turn from this point on, as I undergo a mentoring/coaching program with Alex Jeffreys…

 

I am quite excited by the prospect of this further stage of my marketing journey (for past “exploits” see the ‘About Me’ page), as only a few short years ago, Alex was in a similar situation to myself, seeking the best way through the maze of marketing information & hype to real success & financial achievement.

 

Alex found a mentor in Mike Filsaime, who in turn had been mentored by Rich Schefren, often referred to as “the gurus’ guru”, yet Rich too had had a mentor in Jay Abraham.  So it stands to reason that to achieve success, a mentor is essential.

 

Alex is taking a “Forward to Basics” approach to ensure that we are building on a solid foundation & heading in the right direction.  I am not sure at this stage how long I can afford financially to continue with Alex’s coaching program – it all depends on “cash FLOW” – not a one-off burst of cash, but a regular, dependable “flow” of cash coming into my account.

 

Alex is emphasizing the absolute importance of list-building at all stages – of having one’s OWN list of customers with whom we have built trust & a firm relationship.

We are setting goals – Business, Entrepreneurial & Personal – as well as becoming more organised, drawing up long & short-term plans, mind-mapping & learning to concentrate on our most productive tasks. At present it takes me far longer than it should to complete everything!

 

In short, my Blog for the time-being at least, will be largely a journal of my progress throughout this “Journey->Toward->Success” & hopefully along the way you too will gain insights not previously available to you.

Reason #5: Many home-based business opportunities force people to become salespeople. Because things are not set up right, people are forced to face rejection constantly. Avoid this type of business since most people hate to sell!

Reason #6: Most work at home opportunities pay small sums of money and no residual income. This is a recipe for disaster! If people sell low-ticket items that don’t sell for very much money, it’s going to be almost impossible for them to obtain financial freedom and to become rich. Never become part of any home-based business opportunity that forces one to sell tons of items just to make a decent profit.

So, there you have it-six additional reasons why many home-based businesses will fail. Carefully look for potential problems with any home-based business opportunity, make sure it does not meet the criteria for any of these six problems outlined, and then make an informed choice
